Other Events |
Announcement of Plans to Build Distribution Center
Urban Outfitters, Inc. (the "Company," "us," or "our") announced plans to build a new 880,000 square-foot omni-channel distribution center (the “Facility”) on ancillary land at Kansas Speedway in Wyandotte County, Kansas. This facility will enable us to support continued digital growth at all our brands, and it will allow us to reach our digital customers faster and more efficiently than ever before. The Company plans for construction of the Facility to commence in October 2020 and to be completed over the next four years, during which time the Company expects to incur capital expenditures of approximately $350 million. The Company worked with the Kansas Department of Commerce, KC SmartPort, the Kansas City Area Development Council, the Wyandotte County Economic Development Council and Unified Government of Wyandotte County in selecting a location for the Facility.
