Urban Outfitters Declares Two-for-One Split
PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 17, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Urban Outfitters, Inc. (Nasdaq:URBN), a leading lifestyle consumer products company operating under the Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters and Free People brands, today announced that its Board of Directors has authorized a two-for-one split of its common stock. This split will be accomplished in the form of a stock dividend of one share of its common stock for each share outstanding. The additional shares issued as a result of the stock split will be distributed on or about September 23, 2005 to shareholders of record on September 6, 2005. After giving effect to the split, the Company will have approximately 164.3 million shares outstanding.
