Urban Outfitters Stock Repurchase Update

PHILADELPHIA, May 7, 2010 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) --Urban Outfitters, Inc. (Nasdaq:URBN), a leading lifestyle specialty retail company operating under the Anthropologie, Free People, Leifsdottir, Terrain and Urban Outfitters brands, today confirmed that the Company may repurchase stock from time-to-time under the Company's common stock repurchase program.

On February 28, 2006, the Board of Directors approved a common stock repurchase program that authorized the Company to repurchase up to 8,000,000 shares of its common shares from time-to-time, based on prevailing market conditions. The Company repurchased 1,220,000 shares during the fiscal year ended January 31, 2007 and may continue to repurchase shares from time-to-time under the repurchase program.
